It's heating up in Maryland (already) and while I'm loving the sunshine, my pitta isn't. As a headache prone individual, this early summer and bright light can be aggravating to my pitta-type headaches. If you're in a similar situation, here are some simple, and yummy, ways to cool down:
Coconut Milk! It's delicious and has pitta-reducing qualities; drink and enjoy
Coconut Oil is similarly cooling and makes for a great scalp massage oil
Add a couple drops of Spearmint Essential Oil to the coconut oil (keeping away from eyes) and voila! pitta soothed.
